Set in the 1950s, a waitress, Ember Fiera, is setting up a diner for the morning shift when her military husband, Cliff Jensen, unexpectedly enters. Ember is overjoyed and astonished to watch him, running into his arms. It's unveiled that Cliff has came back home from busy duty, so he thought he'd surprise her. Ember is definitely astonished and appreciative, and offers to make him breakfast. But Cliff cheekily admits that he's greedy for something else at the moment... and Ember is glad to spoil him.
